The Role

At Woodridge Connect we provide access to an engaging and interactive learning journey. We believe in preparing our learners for life beyond the classroom, and every experience should reflect that.

To make this possible, we need a strong support structure that can work with our Academic Team to make everything run smoothly. We work with a team of teachers and administrators who each play a unique role in our ecosystem. This allows for a pleasant and engaging experience for our learners – the less they realise how much is going on in the background, the better we’re doing our job!

The right candidate will be energetic and dynamic individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, alongside a team of teachers and administrators. The position has a steep learning curve and our candidates are expected to roll with the punches!

What you’ll achieve

• Communicate: You will spend most of your day communicating, organising and following up with people. That may include email or other internal communication, setting meetings, and updating our internal databases.
• Support: We expect that you support senior staff members in compiling documents, following through the recruitment processes, and be on standby for questions from staff and students.
• Liaise: Your role as liaison between different parties will be vital in ensuring consistent, prompt and clear communication. This includes communicating to staff and providing feedback to management.
• Create: We hope that you have some creative bones, because you will be creating pages and maintaining different platforms, including our Learning Management System.
• Transfer: You will play a role in delivering a final error-free product to our learners on their device. No pressure!

Skills and toolsets you’ll bring

• Experience & Qualifications: Our Admin Assistants should have some experience in either education or admin tasks. You may have done some basic administrative work, tutoring at university or beyond, or even completed your PGCE.
• Tech savvy: You need to understand how technology can be used to create efficiencies and how to make them work together. You should be comfortable with using online tools, and ready to learn a whole bunch of new ones!
• Attention to detail: We love people with an eye for detail (bordering on being pedantic!). Preparing professional communication and documents will be critical to your role.
• Willing communicator: Love to talk? Awesome! We want to know what’s happening and we want everyone else to know what’s happening too! Help to be our voice and make sure that our message comes across clearly.
• Organised: Sometimes we want people to think outside the box, but in your case, we need you to colour inside the lines – very clear and defined lines that you can help draw too. Bringing project management and organisational skills to the table will count in your favour.
