Head of Academics

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be responsible and accountable for managing a team of academic professionals who in turn are responsible for inter alia, curriculum development, content creation, facilitation of lessons and the coaching and tutoring of the Woodridge Connect learners. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with academic staff, learners and parents.

Skills and toolsets you’ll bring

• Appropriate professional teaching qualification from a recognised institution (university degree and professional qualification). Honours and / or Masters advantageous.
• Extensive high school teaching and management experience (minimum at HOD level).
• Strong knowledge of IEB standards and requirements
• Proficiency in curriculum development
• An ability to lead a team with purpose and determination
• Enhanced problem-solving skills
• An understanding of online pedagogics
• Advanced computer skills
• Heightened sense of responsibility and conscientiousness
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly, consistently and proactively
• Valid SACE certificate
